I bought these one month ago and was skeptical because of the reviews. I immediately put a pair in my Fenix PD30 while the other pair charged. When that set was charged up, I swapped them. the charging light goes from red, to a kind of orange-ish yellow, then green when finished. I carry my light with me all of the time and use it constantly for short periods of time and I have not had to re-charge the first pair yet. Considering that CR123 batteries at regular stores cost about 4+ dollars a piece, and if you order online you need to order at least 2 dozen to make them a good deal (/piece) because of shipping, this rechargeable set was the way to go. I promise I use my light more than most people, but I do not use it for long runtimes---such as if you were hiking at night or camping. This set is mostly geared towards saving money for everyday use. If I were taking a long camping trip, I would probably have some regular CR123's in the pack. I do plan to get some regular CR123 for emergencies such as extended power outages. Oh, the car charger is also nice for trips, camping, or if you needed a charge while your home elect. was out. for everyday use around the house, car repairs, walking the dog, and everyday carry (EDC) I highly recommend you try these----even if they fail after 3 charges, you've only spent the same amount as 3 sets at your local store.

Works great! - Torleif Gundersen - Melbourne, FL USA
I bought these for a halogen flashlight. Now I always have two spare batteries charged up and I never have to buy those expensive batteries again. The fact that it comes with a car charger, makes it even better. Perfect for camping/roadtrips!!
